Don Weir’s approach to painting has gone through a dramatic evolution over the last decade and has arrived at a place where abstracted color ensembles and a minimalist approach to the design elements of the subject matter are the key cornerstones of his work. Visiting the regions of North America where the landscape forms are defined by an austere juxtaposition of broad areas of color has become his main inspiration.
